Some conclusions...
About the project finding week:
- Not all of the problems to solve need to be realistic. The most important thing is that the students minds are put in a problem solving mode.
- Teaching ‘Fault Finding’ is difficult, but not impossible. The best way to teach it, is through experience. ‘How more problems you solve, how easier it gets…’.
- How smaller the groups how beter. Two student is ideal.
- Don't let them work alone, discussing the problem is an important step in the learning proces.
About problem solving in general:
- Talking to the owner/user is a very important step to start with.
- Knowing the installation makes problem shooting much easier.
