Description of the boards
The transformer board.
We use 3 transformers to get a safe power supply for the rest of the exercises. The transformers transform 230V down to 24V. With the start and stop buttons you switch in or out the board.
The main fuse board
The main fuse board wil protect the wires in the transport board and the transformers in the transformer board. The main fuses are 3A.
The transport board.
With the transport board we can simulate the cable wich is used to connect a building to the electricity grid. Depending on wich system your country uses you can use the earth as PE-connecting back to the star point of the transformer or you can use the PEN-connecting to do this.
The main fuse consumer board
In Sweden a main fuse board is used where the power cable comes in to the building.
The meter board
Earth Leakage Cricuit Breaker (Sweden)
In Sweden a single residual-current devices (RCD, or residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB)) is ued to protect the total installation.
Main Switch Board.
The Belgian board contains two residual-current devices (RCD, or residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB)). One for the complete instalation (300mA) and one for the 'wet' parts of the instalation (30mA). Also 2-pole and 4-pole circuit breakers are used in Belgium.
|
The Sedish board only contains 1-pole circuit breakers. The RCD can be fount on the previous board.

The User Board.
The 'User Board' can be used to a load on the circuit brakers. With this board you can create an overload so a circuit breaker switches of. Also you can view a voltage drop when you add more load the the system.
The Earth Fault Board
With this board we can create a earth leakage current throug a machine. This is a direct connection to the earth. We also can create an earth leakage current trough a person, this current can be adjusted with the installed switch.
